ONLINE ORIENTATION FOR THE CONTENT WRITERS, VALIDATORS AND ILLUSTRATORS ON THE GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SLMS FOR ALL LEARNING AREAS
The Division Orientation on the Development of Contextualized Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) for All Learning Areas was conducted by the Schools Division Office of Caloocan City for the content writers, validators and illustrators, which is one of the activities of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) in preparation for the DepEd New Normal..
The event was viewed via FB live streaming on June 4, 2020 at 9:00 – 12:00 noon. It was hosted by Public School District Supervisors, Dr. Jovanny L. Cornelia and Ms. Jocelyn L. Pancito.
The objectives of the webinar are:
To develop self-learning modules (SLMs) across learning areas based on the latest Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs);
To capacitate the participants on the principles and framework on learning materials development and managing intellectual property rights; and
To orient the participants on the basic processes in conducting quality assurance on learning materials.
Dr. Arturo A. Tolentino, Education Program Supervisor in Science (top photo), discussed “Instructional Design and Framework.” Mr. Tommy R. Rico (middle) Public School District Supervisor and LRMDS Coordinator talked on the Technical Specifications of Text-Based Learning Resources and Mr. Michael James S. Boado, PDO, LRMDS tackled “Managing Intellectual Property Rights and citing references.”
Teachers are expected to develop quality modules to be used by the learners this coming School Year 2020 – 2021.
