The EaseCox International Group and Unilever Philippines, through the Department of Education – Central Office, turned over donations to the Schools Division Office of Caloocan last Monday, February 1, 2021, in support of the Basic Education – Learning Continuity Program (BE-LCP) at the Lobby Grounds of the Schools Division Office-Caloocan. The recipient schools attended virtually through Google Meet while the program was streamed live in Facebook page DepEd Tayo Caloocan City.

The program started with an opening prayer from Mr. Leandro C. Balcon, ADAS III, and followed by a welcome message from Dr. Diosdado S. Medina, OIC, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent.  The audience were inspired by the message of Dr. Nerissa L. Losaria, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent. We have listened to the message of Usec. Tonisito M.C. Umali, Esq., Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs, External Partnerships and Project Management Service, Department of Education, as he discussed that partnership is part of the 4th Pillars of EduKalidad through the Google Meet. A presentation of the Philippine Alliance Philippine Alliance of Retired Educators (PARE) was also made by Dr. Estelita Reyes, President Caloocan Chapter, and Ms. Abigail Ignacio, Founding Chairman of PARE. The members of the PARE were also present during the event namely retired Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Quezada, retired Public Schools District Supervisors Dr. Editha Parrocha and Dr. Victoria Martinez. 

Also present during the turnover were Dr. Ivee C. Perez, Chief Education Supervisor, SGOD, Engr. Antonina Pador, Administrative Officer IV, Ms. Ruth B. Salom, Senior Education Program for Social Mobilization and Networking and Mr. Paulus Andrew T. Manalo, Education Program Specialist II for Social Mobilization and Networking, from DepEd Central Office, Ms. Davedinah Cometa and Ms. Caroline Labrague, Project Development Officers. The event was formally closed by Dr. Edel Carag, Director, External Partnership

The donations consisting of nine wall fans from EaseCox International Group and products from Unilever Philippines namely eighteen boxes Dove shampoo, nine boxes LifeBuoy/Dove soap and nine boxes Domex. The donations was given to the nine selected Senior High Schools in Caloocan namely Samaria Senior High School, School head Ms. Paulina S. Tabuzo, Brixton Senior High School, School head Dr. Jennifer J. Placente, Bagong Barrio Senior High School, School head Mr. Ferazim R. Dannug, Antonio Uy Tan Senior High School, school head Ms. Mimosa V. Lomibao, Vicente Malapitan Senior High School, School head Ms. Arcadia G. Pedregosa Cielito Zamora Senior High School, School head Dr. Wilhelmina D. Tarnate, M.B. Asistio Sr. High School – Unit 1, School head, Mr. Emmanuel Aguilar, Horacio Dela Costa High School, School head Ms. Amelia J. Batalla  and Caloocan City Business High School, OIC-School head, Dr. Ivee C. Perez.

After the virtual turnover, the donations for Bagong Barrio Senior High School were delivered to the schools and the group were welcomed by Mr. Ferazim R. Dannug, Principal of Bagong Barrio Senior High School and APSACC President. Other recipient schools will pick-up the donation in the Schools Division Office-Caloocan on their available date.

The health and safety protocols stated in the issuances of DepEd, DOH and IATF on covid-19 was strictly observed during the turnover and pick-up of donations.
